September Meeting Minutes


Needs:

SU Trainer

Gold Award trainer


SU Budget

· SU Dues are still $5 per girl.

· Annual fund donation has been received.

· Potentially allow registration of GS events based off SU Dues having been paid.

· Paypal is now available to pay SU dues – duluthsutreasurer@gmail.com


SU Events

· Event list provided for items on the calendar for the year.

o Some events still pending.


Registration

· Booth at Food Truck Friday in July and August

o More girls attended in August on a movie night (20 girls signed up)

o Possibly tie in with the kids movie nights

· Fall Festival booth is still up in the air due to the fees required.

· Coffee hour at Starbucks with info on how to lead a troop.

· 200 people have renewed for the year.

o 3 new troops forming.


Annual Fund

· 71% earned for last year.

· Goal for this year: Tentatively $7,000

· Chipotle Spirit Night – 10/8

o Last year earning: $250

o Door prize will be available

· Ask is increasing from $25 to $35

· Man Enough to Be a Girl Scout is going away.

· Adopt a Horse is increasing from $125 to $150.


Continuing Education

Planning Events Beyond the Troop

· Event list provided counts as Beyond the Troop Events (BTTE).

· Located in LARC training at GS website (www.girlscoutsatl.org)

o Training can be taken without having an event idea.

· Application process is all online

· Never sign a contract.

o All contracts should be submitted to GSGATL.

· Application should be submitted 60 days prior.
