Pinewood Derby 2019 was a hit!

The 2019 Pinewood Derby was a really fun event, with 10 Brownies, 22 Juniors, 15 Cadettes, and 3 Senior/Ambassadors participating.  They all raced in a double elimination bracket for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, and also competed for best design, as judged by volunteer Girl Scouts.  All of the girls showed fantastic sportsmanship and enthusiasm, cheering each other on throughout the races.  Thank you to all of our Girl Scout volunteers – from the Daisy/Brownie/Cadette group that presented the colors, to the Senior and Ambassador girls who ran the Check-in station and judged the race winners.  A special thank you to Troop 16448 for running the super snack bar.  And thank you to Girl Scout dad and leader, Rob Ponder, for running our races.  Congratulations to all of the winners, but also to ALL of the girls and leaders who participated in this wonderful event!  See you next year . . . at the races!
